Before the Speedmaster became NASA's officially qualified watch in 1965, it had already been to space. Astronaut Wally Schirra wore his personal Omega Speedmaster during the Mercury-Atlas 8 mission in October 1962, making it the first Speedmaster, and among the first wristwatches of any kind, worn beyond Earth's atmosphere.

This 2025 tribute edition references that moment in the Speedmaster's history, presented on Omega's steel bracelet with the chronograph layout, tachymeter bezel, and three-sub-dial configuration that have defined the model since its 1957 introduction.

As a current production piece, this watch offers pristine, as-new condition alongside a design lineage that predates even the Moon landing watches most people associate with the Speedmaster name, reference 310.30.40.50.06.001.

As with every Watchlunex listing, this piece ships fully insured and is backed by our 30-day return policy, so you have time to confirm fit and feel before deciding to keep it.
